I'm a beginning knitter. How do I choose a pattern?
Each pattern has a skill rating that is shown on the catalog description page.

Projects for first-time knitters using basing knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.

Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitches, simple color changes, and simple shaping  and finishing.

Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-point needles and knitting in the round techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.

Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, Fair Isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns and numerous color changes.

What if I need help?
If you have a problem with the directions, please feel free to email me, and I will do my best to answer your questions. If you have a problem with techniques, I recommend visiting knittinghelp.com which has terrific on-line videos.

What can you tell me about the patterns?
The patterns are all in pdf format which are sent to you by email.  Please note: patterns are not downloaded or emailed instantly; they are sent to you when I've received your order and verification from PayPal.

What kind of yarn do I need?
The pattern description on the pattern page will let you know what type of yarn and approximately how much, as well as needle size.>

I'd like to purchase a pattern. What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept payment through PayPal.

I don't have a PayPal account. Can I still use my credit card?
Yes. You can use your credit card securely through PayPal even if you don't have a PayPal account.

How soon can I expect my order to arrive?
PDF patterns are usually sent within a couple of hours of receipt of payment; they are sent to you when I've received your order and verification from PayPal.

Where do you ship?
I ship worldwide.  Needles and notions ship for free within the continental US and Canada. Shipping outside the continental US and Canada is available for an extra fee. If you are having an order shipped to an address outside the continental US or Canada, please email me before placing your order so I can give you a price on shipping. There is no shipping charge for pdf patterns (you do need to fill out shipping information when ordering pdf patterns to complete the checkout process).

What about returns?
There are no returns on patterns.  Needles and notions may be returned in the original, unopened packaging within 30 days of original order.
