Once I got started making fruit hats, I thought the strawberry hat needed a sweater to go with it. Again, this set was one of my big sellers at craft shows: a sweet baby, good enough to eat (as Grandma would say).
This roomy, drop-shoulder pullover with rolled neck and sleeves is adorable and easy to knit.
There is minimal finishing: the sleeves are picked up and worked from the shoulder down, so there are only the side seams to finish.
The yarn is Peaches & Creme 100% unmercerized cotton in worsted weight. This yarn is soft, has a nice hand, and works up quickly at 4sts=1" on size 7 needles (needles not included).
The kit contains enough yarn to make the largest sweater and hat plus complete instructions, including a graphed chart for the design.
The color is natural(off-white), the strawberry is red, yellow and green, and the hat is red and yellow with a brown stem.
The kit is for sizes 6,12 or 18 months (finished chest size: 19"/21"/23").
