My daughter and I love using knitted cotton washcloths: they're soft and have a wonderful texture. Knit a few of these up, include the rubber ducky that comes with the kit, and you have a beautiful but practical baby gift!
Each kit comes with two skeins of Peaches n Creme 100% cotton, worsted weight yarn that works up quickly on size 7 needles (needles not included), instructions for two different patterns, and a little rubber ducky (approximately 2" x 2 1/2").
The patterns are a classic garter stitch wash cloth that is worked on the diagonal and has an eyelet edging, and a feather and fan lace pattern (miniature versions of the blanket kits I offer). From each skein, you can make one each of the designs for a total of four washcloths.
The finished size of the classic washcloth is approximately 8"x8"; the finished size of the feather and fan washcloth is approximately 9"x8".
The color choices are light green and natural; rose pink and natural; and light blue and natural.
