Nothing says "heirloom" more than a lace baby blanket, but knitting lace on small needles can take a very long time! I found that working this classic Feather and Fan pattern on larger needles with heavier yarn produced a lush but lacey blanket in just about no time.
The yarn is Peaches N Cream unmercerized cotton in worsted weight which works up quickly on size 10 needles (needles not included). The four-row repeat for the lace pattern is simple yet the result looks much more complicated.
The color is Desert Sunset, a subtle blend of coral, sand and lavender. It can also be kitted in rose-pink, light blue, off-white or sage green.
The finished size is approximately 34" x 36", a great size for a carriage or crib blanket.
The kit includes enough yarn to make one blanket as well as complete instructions. Needles are not included; I reccomend using a size 10 29" circular needle.
