These colors remind me of the Caribbean, and the saucy flaps that top the hat make any day a party day.

This is an easy and adorable hat to knit with minimal finishing: the hat is knitted in the round, switching from garter to stockinette stitch, and the flaps are continued up from the hat. If you carry the yarn up the wrong side as you change colors, you'll only have your casting on and binding off ends to work in.

The finished measurements for this hat are 16" and 18".

The yarns are Peaches & Creme 100% unmercerized cotton in worsted weight. This yarn is soft, has a nice hand, and works up quickly at 4sts=1" in stockinette stitch on size 7 needles (needles not included).

The kit contains enough yarn to make the larger size hat plus complete instructions.

This is a project you can do in an evening and have it ready for the baby shower tomorrow!
