I love all the different knitted flowers and roses that are suddenly so popular as pins and embellishments. The lime green brings the more Victorian colors of the hat up-to-the-minute.
This is an easy and adorable hat to knit with minimal finishing: the hat is knitted in the round, switching from green to red for the topknot, so there are only your casting-on and binding-off ends to work in.
The finished measurements for this hat are 16" and 18".
The yarn is Peaches & Creme 100% unmercerized cotton in worsted weight; the hat is burgandy, and the flower is shades of pink, purple, and green. This yarn is soft, has a nice hand, and works up quickly at 4sts=1" in stockinette stitch on size 7 needles (needles not included).
The kit contains enouch yarn to make the larger size hat plus complete instructions.
