After the apple (or generic fruit hat), I branched out, so to speak, and tried my hand at a strawberry. It was always a popular shower gift.
This is an easy and adorable hat to knit with minimal finishing: the hat is knitted in the round, switching from red to green for the leaves, so there are only your casting-on and binding-off ends to work in.
The hat is red with yellow flecks, and the leaves are green.
The finished measurements for this kit are 16" and 18".
The yarns are Peaches & Creme 100% unmercerized cotton in worsted weight. These yarns are soft, have a nice hand, and work up quickly at 4sts=1" in stockinette stitch on size 7 needles (needles not included).
The kit contains enough yarn to make the larger size hat plus complete instructions.
This is a project you can do in an evening and have ready for the baby shower tomorrow!
